VP Globe, with a diameter of 50 centimeters, is the first lamp, which is produced in the same year. Meanwhile VerPan is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Frandsen Group with Frandsen Lighting and Frandsen Project. The close and inspiring cooperation with the widow of the designer, Marianne Panton, and his family and, of course, the passion of VerPan’s managing director Peter Frandsen for the designs of his countryman led to, that the collection has continued to expand.
The first re-design furniture are presented at the fair INTERIOR 2010 in Kortrijk, Belgium. With the 1-2-3 Chair, the Panton Table, the Multifunctional Boxes and the Party Set Verpan expanded its spectrum through the furniture sector. Verpan takes over the Bar Boy production from vitra. This is modified by Verpan in that way, that it is affordable for a wider audience for the first time.
With regular actions Verpan maintains the memory of Verner Panton and expands its design palette. For the luxury label Prada the Cloverleaf Sofa is brought back to life in 2013. Based on the wall sculptures Mirror Sculptures the VP Mirror Throw, a blanket with the pattern of the wall sculptures, offers the cosy opposite polar. In 2014 the birthday of the FUN lighting series is celebrated with the remake of the FUN 0 suspension lamp, in a shell version and one with metal discs. Even the carpet from the former canteen of the Spiegel editorial house in Hamburg is now available for everybody.
The synthesis between quality and originality, the production principle at VerPan, is reflected in each product. The consideration of Verner Panton’s philosophy plays a central role. As a sign of authenticity every VerPan manufactured object is provided with the signet of his master. A nice idea for authentication and also a tribute to one of the most outstanding design talents of our time.
